Tribulations Escaped
It would by all accounts look like we'll miss most of Ms. Rita as she canters well east of us, not that I was really thinking we'd see a whole lot to begin with. The gas station was quite busy last night, I did top off the tank. It seemed foolish not too, who knows how high gas will be next week. The only thing I stocked up on was Hurricane fixin's and they turned out nicely if I do say so myself, everyone was pleased by my 1337 drink mixing sK!11z0r. Dustin provided a caserole that would make any good Baptist women pea green with envy. We roleplayed and had a dandy of a good time, no character death, which looking back on it seems astonishing...such was the amount of sheer folly that we pursued. Outside of the Herbalist locking his keys in his car it was a good evening.

I considered grabbing a case myself, since all the cool kids were doing it and if for no other reason than I may never ever have another excuse to pretend like I'll be in a hurricane. The best I might do is get a tornado, but those rarely give you opprotunity to run to the store for supplies...quite rude storm tornados are. Warren posted a note on his etherpages, evidently the Austinauts are in a full gourging rut of hurricne frenzy and I can't blame them, I know I would be too. Really, who could resist? I particularly enjoyed the snippet about the soccer moms going all deathmatch over batteries...
