Are you kidding me?
Trinity was telling me about this last night, but I had to go see if it was really true and I'm sad to say that it is. You can go out to eBay and you can pay someone to fucking play World of Warcraft for you. Holy fucking shit! They'll power level your character for you, get you to any level that you want. I simply can't believe it….pay…someone….to play…the game…for you…that you are already bought and pay a monthly subscription fee for. If this isn't a sign of the end times…I don't know what is.
From the ad on eBay:
Why choose us? Let me give you a couple reasons…
- We deliver accounts on time or ahead of schedule.
- We provide our service as a most reasonable price.
- Reliable. You can trust us more than any other leveling company on EBAY.
- We match the price of other Power Leveling service providers.
- We leave your character with all the items and gold which was earned during the leveling process. This will leave you with a character with the best weapon and armor on its level.
- Our leveling service is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We do not stop until your character has reached its desired level.
-We do not use any bots. All the work is done by hand.
we have more than 470 successful Paypal transaction records with certified buyers to date.
We offer powerleveling services on both US and European Servers.
Price of Power Leveling
Level 1-20 in 1 day $40
Level 1-30 in 4 days $120
…it goes on like this, but this was the kicker…
From level 1-60 in 18 days $650!!!
You can go to eBay and do a search on World of Warcraft if you think I'm making this shit up.

LOL wait until you find the posts where you can BUY (for real!) ingame cash with your hard-earned dollars.
Check out playerauctions.com for some funky shit.

I actually saw those too (there are a LOT of them on eBay), they just blew my mind away far less then the power leveling guys did. I ran across playerauctions.com accidentally when I was trying to get to thottbot.com. LOL
I guess we can at least be content that they aren't selling weapons, armor and what-not. At least I hope.

...Just wait for that too...

...maybe it won't happen...I noticed the other day that I couldn't even mail some armor to my warrior character due to it being soul bound. I hadn't even equipped it...seems like more and more stuff is bound to you as soon as you pick it up. Not a bad idea really. Or maybe I just fucked up.

I love that so much armour and weaponry are BoP (Bind on Pickup) because then it does prevent those morons wanting to make a quick buck, from selling it on eBay and playerauctions.
I can't tell you how many games have gone downhill rapidly because of armor/weapons and ingame money can be bought and sold online - it really dumbs down the game you're trying to play AND fucks up the economy. =( Blizzard seem to genuinely care about this though so I don't think it'll get out of hand.
*cough*Everquest*cough*

Did you see the article on Slate about how WOW allows players to actually have a life even when they're obsessed with the game? Like, compared to Everquest. My black hearted ex told me you can now order pizza in Everquest.

I didn't see the article, but I did hear about the pizza thing via Ctrl-Alt-Del. If you didn't see the associated cartoon, it's pretty funny.

I know you can order pizza in EQ2 with /pizza command line... I couldn't do it in EQ1 though, unless I was doing it wrong?
Imagine that... being so damned lazy you have to order your food through a video game.

http://www.goodintentionsguild.info/hunters.html
This is that hunter website I was telling you about the other day, with pet skill levels and what/where to tame the appropriate creature. =)

A part of me thinks the pizza thing is actually pretty damn cool, because I am lazy...but as I like the overpriced pizzas from across the street, it wouldn't help me.
Now.../handjob would be nifty. I was thinking /whore might be nice too, but you'd probably have to get up from the computer.
Thanks for the link!

Not if there was a /whorehandjob command... or /whorebj command... Why am I encouraging you?

I don't know, but please don't stop...
