I have an X Box

I have an X Box now. I got it from my dad who had bought it some months ago in response to his cousin getting one. My dad can be an odd dude sometimes. He really didn't have time to play it much and so when I was thinking about buying one he decided to give me his. I was pleased.

I owned the original Nintendo and the Super Nintendo, but I've never been a really big console game fan. While I'm not one to get involved in these flame wars that erupt over things such as console vs. PC and such, I have to admit I always felt that the PC was superior. I still do, but quite frankly I've lost interest in constantly having to upgrade my computer to keep playing games that I find interesting.

The nice thing about the X Box is that the performance is great and the graphics are really very impressive. The downside is that the games are so darned expensive, but I've found that you can get the older goodies for around $30. That isn't too bad, still can't afford it, but not bad. I haven't played too many games outside those my dad bought, but I can see that one downside is that most console games seem to fit in the first person shooter category or racing category. Some may manage to bend the spectrum a little, but they essential melt down to those two categories. I'll be interested to see if I can find anything really on the level of some PC games I've played. I look forward to trying to find a good RPG.
