Gay Marriage: Evil or Opprotunity?

I'm a little surprised that there is such opposition to gay marriage in this country, especially seeing as how most of our elected officials seem to be lawyers. I say why not let gay people get married? Just think how many more divorce trials that divorce lawyers could have when the newly wedded gay folk suddenly realize they want to split up.

I'm a little bemused at why gay people want to get married. You can see how well it's all worked for us straight people. Marriage is an odd bird and there's something about the lawful binding of it all that seems to change things for people. I admit I dated a girl for four or five years and then lived with her a year before marrying and divorcing her after five months. Now I doubt we would have staid together much longer anyway, but who's to say it wouldn't have worked out?

Will gay marriages make God angry? I figure it could, but the I think we should let God decided that. Blasphemy isn't saying goddamn, it's telling people what you think God would say…keep that in mind oh holy rollers.

So I say why not. Lettem get married, they may soon find out that getting what you asked for isn't as great as it seems. Wait…not to mention…aren't these people supposed to living alternative lifestyles…what's with all this conforming?
