Go for it...
Heh, I downloaded De Colores in mp3 format. It's not quite what I remember from Spanish Class, but the concept brings back some great memories from High School. Daryl Hardy singing this in horrible Spanish as he swayed back and forth to bad rhythm. I played basketball well I was on the basketball team, Daryl actually played in games I'm not sure we were ever friends, but I always thought he was a pretty cool dude. I found out after I graduated that he was Mormon, weird how you can go to school with some one for six or seven years and not know that.
Daryl and Brian Wells I always considered them the "Jordan vs. Bird" of our JV basketball squad. Both skinny white guys that could play well for a Central Texas white bread 3A school. I remember Brian challenging me to a 1 on 1 game after I had mouthed off something to him we played after school and not wanting to really do it I let him win really, I let him win. But one of my triumphant moments as a teen came when I kicked his ass 5-1 when we did a 1-1 tournament during a practice I'm not sure if he let me win or not but I had been practicing my hook shoot and I took him to town with it. Being a slow dumpy white kid who couldn't shoot, the hook was my only prayer sadly I got schooled by another kid who I should have been able to beat. Maybe the thrill of victory over Brian was too much after that there was nothing left to really go for.
Ah well, good memories
