I'm excited about the proposition of geeting to design the Michigan area of our post-apocalyptic Fallout RPG. It could be a lot of fun...I like desiging worlds and stuff, not that I've ever gotten very far, but this will give me a purpose and so hopefully I'll follow through with it till the end.
Speaking of Fallout, I'm getting Fallout II as I type this and I'm excited at the prospect for no other reason than I never got to finish it after finishing the first one. Great series of games. I've looked into Wasteland which is the ancient (80's) inspiration for Fallout and while I admit it's a great game I've had trouble getting into it. Perhaps that comes from my 2002 perspective on a game that was made (I think) in 1987...I've gotten so used to everything having a graphical representation in games that I have trouble visualizing a game that has few graphics and what it does have isn't all that great.
I hope to give Wasteland a more thourough try though later on, right now I can't seem to get out of Medieval: Total War. I had a blast conquering Europe with the Byzantine's and I'm now enjoying reaking havoc with the Danes and their ever dependable Vikings. I've gotten a little spoiled though by the Byzantine's Varangian guard and their heavy infantry, I've not done as well in battles without their steady presence. Oh well it is just a game :)
